Scope

  • Finalise 90% design to construction issue and provide design certification
  • Preparation of Photographic Archival Recording Report for heritage purposes
  • Demolition of adjacent structure, internal demolition and strip out & removal of steel gantry frame, removal of residual hazardous materials (asbestos, vinyl flooring, encapsulating lead paint)
  • New structural steel to new stairs, new storage shed, internal frame for new level 1 of building 153 and new clerestory roof frame
  • New concrete including external paving, excavation, formwork and reinforcement to new footings, new storage shed slab and level 1 bondek slab
  • Restoration of existing heritage fabric i.e. steel trusses, windows to NE elevation
  • New building and fit-out works including new windows and doors, floor & wall
    finishes, joinery, fixtures and fitments, new ceilings and partitions, fixed and loose furniture and building signage

Key Considerations

  1. Maintaining and protection of existing heritage fabric
  2. Erosion and sediment control and environmental control measures due to working at waterfront
  3. Maintaining waste register for all disposed materials and crossing border from ACT to NSW
  4. Structural demolition and maintaining structural integrity of building by bracing and propping etc
  5. Managing safety for high risk activities in demolition stage and beyond
  6. Managing security on base and providing security escorts for sub-contractors
  7. Driving Indigenous Participation by engaging with Wreck Bay and local communities to provide employment opportunities
