Scope
- Finalise 90% design to construction issue and provide design certification
- Demolition of 8 existing detached brick dwellings and replacing with new double storey accommodation block comprising 14 units
- Parking, landscaping and associated infrastructure, adjacent structure, internal demolition
- New building and fit-out works including new windows and doors, floor & wall finishes, joinery, fixtures and fitments, new ceilings and partitions, fixed and loose furnishings
- Providing design solution to satisfy BCA with regards to DDA compliance
- Completion of a significant 5000m2 asbestos ground capping solution including rainwater harvesting & irrigation system, landscaping
- General external refurbishment to Jervis Bay Primary School & pre-school
Key Considerations
- Design & Construct contract so detailed design co-ordination including shop drawings for precast concrete elements
- Maintaining and protection of Flora and Fauna including Kangaroo Management Plan and Erosion & Sediment controls
- Maintaining waste register for all disposed materials and crossing border from ACT to NSW
- Structural demolition for removal of 8 dwellings
- Managing safety for high risk activities in demolition stage and beyond and Hazardous
- Material removal
- Managing Earthworks in accordance with EPA Guidelines
- Managing security on base and providing security escorts for sub-contractors
- Driving Indigenous Participation by engaging with Wreck Bay and local communities to provide employment opportunities
