Improving Indigenous Outcomes
A core pillar of BYCC’s purpose is the development of Indigenous talent, supported by a strong training culture embedded within both BY Group and Construction Control. Across the alliance, we prioritise “growing our own talent” through structured cadetships, apprenticeships, mentoring pathways, and on the job development programs.
We actively support Indigenous students, in the regions where we work, to access tertiary education and we focus on ensuring that this support leads to real, ongoing employment outcomes within the construction and infrastructure sectors. This commitment not only advances meaningful career pathways for Indigenous Australians but also strengthens the capability pipeline for the local workforce in the regions we work in, delivering long term social and economic impact well beyond individual projects.
